What’s all this then?

The Mondo Perverso ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) team is for reads who are willing to read new books and share reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, and across various platforms and groups on social media. The team receives copies of the book prior to launch, and on or shortly after the release date, shares their honest opinions of the book

If you become part of the ARC team, all I ask is a willingness to leave an honest review. I appreciate that life can get in the way sometimes, so don’t feel obligated to read everything. If the timescales don’t suit, or if the concept of a specific book doesn’t float your boat, simply let it pass by. There’s always another boo somewhere in the pipeline!

Are the books free?

Yes! The copies will be provided approximately four to six weeks before the publication date. While the copies you receive will be as close as possible to the final released versions, some ARC copies may still be in the editing process, albeit at the end, so there shouldn’t be many changes afterwards.

ARC copies will be supplied in .epub format, allowing them to be read on a wide range of digital readers, as well as via Apps on mobile devices..

How does the ARC team work?

When a new book is ready for distribution to the ARC Team, members will receive an email with further details, including genre and plot outline details, length, and time window for reviews. If a member wishes to read the book, they can simply click a button to accept the offer, and once the final version is available, they will receive a link to download the ARC.

Then, you read the book and hopefully leave an honest review. Reviews can be simple, in-depth, or anywhere in between. All I ask is that you ensure the review is spoiler-free!

If you intend to past a review on Amazon, they have specific terms about ARC reviews, and it is required to include a notifier along the following lines (or similar): ‘I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.’

Once the book is published, ARC readers will also receive an offer to purchase a signed paperback at a reduced cost.

Does my review have to positive?

No; it should be honest. Not every book will be for everyone. An honest review is all I ask for.
